Family, friends, and the wider community are mourning the passing of Ashley “Ash” Stoeckel, who peacefully passed away at Loxton Hospital on March 8, 2026, at the age of 82. Ash’s passing marks the loss of a deeply loved husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose life touched many.
Ashley Stoeckel was the dearly loved husband of Rose, with whom he shared many years of companionship and family life. Together they built a family that remained central to Ash’s life and legacy. He was a loving father and father-in-law to Clint and Helen, Leigh and Kylie, Karina and Louis, and the late Fiona, whose memory remained close to the family’s hearts.
Ash was a proud and cherished pop to Ryan and Erin, Dani and Kent, Luke and Chelsea, Kloe, Jaymee, Bailey, Alex, Reece, Kalan, and Jaxon. His role as a grandfather brought him immense joy, and he treasured the time spent watching his grandchildren grow and succeed. In later years, he was also a treasured great-pop to Henry, Thomas, Isla, Noah, Ellie, and Chase, whose lives were enriched by his love and guidance.
Remembered by many as a friend to all, Ash Stoeckel was known for his warm personality and the kindness he extended to those around him. His presence in the community left a lasting impression, and he will be greatly missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Ashley Stoeckel’s funeral service, which will be held at the Paringa Friendship Centre, located at 69 Hughes Avenue, Paringa, on Monday, March 16, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Ash’s memory to the Royal Flying Doctor Service, a cause that supports vital healthcare services across regional Australia. Donations may be made at the service.
Following the funeral, the cortege will proceed to Paringa Cemetery for the committal.
