Accident on 60 Freeway Today Southern California — Drivers faced major traffic disruptions today after a series of crashes and roadway incidents were reported along the 60 Freeway (SR-60), prompting emergency responses, lane closures, and long commuter delays across several areas of Southern California.
According to California Highway Patrol traffic logs, numerous collisions and traffic hazards were reported throughout the day along both eastbound and westbound lanes of SR-60, including incidents in Riverside, Baldwin Park, Diamond Bar, Rancho Cucamonga, East Los Angeles, and Jurupa Valley.
One of the more serious crashes involved multiple vehicles on the westbound 60 Freeway near Valley Way in Jurupa Valley, where a tractor-trailer collided with several other vehicles, temporarily shutting down all westbound lanes and causing a significant traffic backup. Authorities said at least three people suffered injuries in the collision.

Elsewhere along the freeway corridor, CHP reports documented additional crashes involving pickup trucks, semi-trucks, sedans, and roadway debris that blocked lanes and slowed traffic for hours. Emergency crews responded to numerous scenes to assist motorists, clear wreckage, and restore traffic flow.
In Riverside County, authorities also investigated separate crashes involving multi-vehicle impacts and highway hazards near Rubidoux Boulevard, Day Street, and the SR-91 connector routes. Traffic congestion stretched across several interchanges as cleanup crews worked to reopen lanes safely.
Transportation officials urged drivers to proceed cautiously through affected areas, warning of stop-and-go conditions, debris hazards, and sudden lane closures during the busy travel period. Motorists were encouraged to monitor live CHP traffic updates and consider alternate routes whenever possible.
Investigations into today’s freeway accidents remain ongoing, and authorities have not yet released complete information regarding all injuries or the causes of the various collisions reported along SR-60.
